Benik Thermoplastic Fracture Splint

Patented Process

The Benik W-312 Thermoplastic Wrist Support was used in the study as the alternative to casting the arm. Fast and Easy Application

In addition to the effectiveness of Benik's splints in place of certain types of fractures, our thermoplastic splints are easily heated and molded to the patient, which can help reduce the time and personnel typically required to apply and set a cast.

The easily workable nature of the thermoplastic panel when heated allows the fit of the splint to be very fine-tuned to the size and shape of the patient. Standard pocket-and-stay-style splints oftentimes allow for too much movement and the stays do not lineup in the desired positions. Benik's single, complete-coverage thermoplastic panels eliminates these disparities in sizing and provides a custom fit with off-the-shelf convenience.

Pediatric Thermoplastic Fracture Splint

Patient Preference

Using a splint in place of a cast is more hygenic, as the patient is able to easily remove and reapply the splint to bathe, and the splint itself may be laundered. The comfort and convenience of Benik's splints improves pateint compliance, and a variety of color options offers additional appeal to children.
